FAQ
Because Sometimes We Have More Questions…
What does a coaching session look like?
Our session will be a judgment free zone built around strategic, creative conversations where curiosity is key. We will set a clear intention for our work together, driven by your goals. It is my job to ask targeted, provocative questions and it is your job to show up ready to roll. You are the expert in your life and I am the expert in helping you tap into that genius. As your coach I am your thinking companion, vision holder and accountability partner.
Is there a specific blueprint we follow?
Our work together is not based on a specific A-Z program. My coaching sessions are tailored to your specific needs, personality and goals. I prefer a fluid bespoke approach to shaking things up, actualizing your your potential and building transformative customized solutions that carry you forward.
How does coaching differ from therapy?
Coaching with me is not therapy but can be therapeutic. Therapy is about stabilization and coaching is about optimization. The focus on therapy is healing from the past and coaching is forward focused. It asks the question where do you want to go next. It is goal oriented and has an end date. The aim is to develop real-life strategies that empower you to create sustainable change in your life. Both coaching and therapy have a part to play in developing mental agility and many of my clients do both.
What about confidentiality?
What happens in our sessions stays in our sessions. Confidentiality is your right as a client. You own your information and get to decide how you want to share it. As an ICF certified coach, I am bound by a strict code of ethics to not divulge any information received in the process of our coaching engagement without your expressed permission.
